How Do I Meet People?
At Newbern First Baptist, we believe that fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ is a vital key in growth throughout our Christian walk. We have many different opportunities for you to come together and draw closer as a body of believers, while digging deeper and learning about the depths of God’s Word. Our greeters and church staff would be more than happy to point you in the direction of a group or Bible Study that you can plug into.
Men’s Prayer Group
Tuesday @ 7 AM
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Join your fellow brothers in Christ during the week for a time of prayer for our church, it’s ministries, our families and country. The men hold their prayer meeting in the Sanctuary.
Fellowship and Coffee
Sunday @ 8:30 AM
Come to church and be refreshed during this time of congregation with fellow believers. This is an excellent opportunity prepare your heart for the morning of worship ahead, while enjoying donuts and a cup of joe at the same time!
Youth Ministry
Wednesday @ 6 PM 
Youth Open Gym
We believe that the youth are the future of our church, so we do not take the task of preparing them for the future in God’s Word lightly. We ensure that our youth are equipped with the knowledge of God’s Word through many different lessons and experiences, including retreats, mission trips, as well as Discipleship Training and DNOW weekends.
Sunday School
Sunday @ 8:45 AM 
These classes offer in depth Bible Study and cultivate growth among our church community. We have classes for every member of the family, diving children and youth by age and grade. For adults we have multiple different classes to choose from, and we encourage you to speak with a church greeter, who can point you in the direction of a class that would be just right for you!
Discipleship Training
Sunday @ 5 PM
We offer classes for all ages. For children, we have a class that incorporates preschool through 5th grade, and for middle and high schoolers, we have a class that meets in the Christian Activities Building. Our adults classes change throughout the year, offering material on different topics, such as marriage, men and women specific studies, and going deeper in your faith.
Sunday Worship
10 AM & 6 PM
Following Sunday School, our congregation gathers in the Sanctuary for a worship service that features a time of special music and a message from our Pastor. We also gather together on Sunday nights after Discipleship training for an additional worship service.
Prayer Meeting
Wednesday @ 7 PM
On Wednesday evening, our congregation gathers for a time of prayer together. This is a time to present requests before the church, and people are invited to pray out loud if they desire to do so. After a season of prayer, the Pastor leads a bible study.
